Danielle Matson, DC, MBA
 

Dr. Danielle is a graduate of The University of Findlay with undergraduate degrees in Biology and Pre-Medicine.  She also completed her MBA with an emphasis in health care management before entering Chiropractic School.  Dr. Matson graduated from Life University, located in Marietta, GA with honors in June of 2013.  While at Life, her internships focused on family practice with an emphasis in athletes, pediatrics and pregnancy.  

 

Dr. Matson has worked extensively in Life University’s Outreach Clinic.  As a result of these experiences Dr. Matson gained a better understanding, and further practice, working with patients in need of urgent care. She is licensed in the state of Ohio as a Chiropractor, and is proficient in many techniques and therapies, including sports chiropractic, physical therapy modalities, Activator, and the Thompson Drop technique.

Dr. Danielle is originally from Continental, OH.  In her free time, Dr. Danielle loves watching sports, especially baseball.

Our Practice

Matson Family Chiropractic seeks to serve the community by enabling individual empowerment from the inside out.  Each person that enters our office, passes us on the street, or comes to a health night forum will leave with a better understanding of how their body functions, as well as the proper steps they need to take in order to fulfill their bodies optimum potential.  The care and console provided would be appropriately formatted for each individual, while maintaining a low cost and a welcoming environment in order for the body to receive healing which is derived from within each person’s nervous systems.  This will be carried out through the adjustment, nutrition, exercise, and modalities within the office. 

 

It is our mission to find, correct, and reduce every subluxation within the human body.  This will allow for more clear thinking, better physical performance, optimal health, and an overall feeling of wellness.  This company utilizes professionally trained doctors of chiropractic to fulfill its mission. Feeling fatigued throughout the day? It may be due to poor spinal posture the night before.

 

Proper sleeping ergonomics is vital to the overall health of a person. In fact, it sets precedence for their entire day. Sleep ergonomics refers to the posture and position during sleeping. The healthiest position for the average person is on their side with knees drawn into their chest, with a pillow between their legs. Arms should be crossed in a braced position with a pillow between then.

 

If a person must sleep on their back, there should be a pillow placed under the knees in order to maintain the natural curves of the spine. A small rolled pillow may also be helpful when placed under the low back. The worst position for spinal integrity is stomach sleeping. Stomach sleeping puts strain on the cervical strain which in turn compresses nerves, creates muscles imbalances and pain. If this type of sleeping posture is all that works for you, place a pillow under the abdomen with no head pillow.

 

Pregnant women should not sleep on their backs or on their stomachs. This creates increased stress on the body creating breathing difficulties, digestive problems, hemorrhoids, and decreased BP from pressure on the vasculature.

As far as mattresses and pillows are concerned, memory foam is best. Mattresses should be flipped every few months and replaced every 5 to 7 years. Pillows should be small and enough to keep the cervical spine in a neutral position in order to support the head, neck and shoulders. The pillows should be hypoallergenic.

By performing these few tasks, people should notice an increased quality of sleep due to limiting strain on the spine and musculature, creating less nerve interference.
